250 grams plain flour
165 grams caster sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon baking powder
Zest of one orange zest
1 tablespoon of your fave liqueur (I used grand mariner)
150 grams raw unpeeled almonds
What to do
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (NOT fan forced).
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and baking powder. Add the eggs, honey, orange zest, liqueur and mix until they are just combined. Add the almonds.
Transfer the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it into 2 logs and place the logs on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown. they will spread so do not place the logs too close together!
Remove the logs from the oven and let them cool for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, slice into the 1-1.5cm slices.
Drop the oven temp to 160 degrees and return the sliced biscotti to the oven. Bake for around 10-15 minutes and then cool on a wire rack.
